Walima dresses – 2013
Walima is an important part of Pakistani wedding. It is an Islamic tradition and the celebration of the wedding. Walima dress is equally important as so many people are invited on walima. Usually, walima dress is selected by Groom and his family.
If we talk about the trend for walima dress’s in the current year, they will remain almost the same. We will see traditional lahangas and shararas with long shirts. The colors for walima dresses will be Green, purple, pink and blue. The shirts will have heavy work, like dabka and stones. Borders of doppattas will also have heavy work. Lahanga designed with banarsi fabric will also remain in fashion.
Usually soft look of a bride is preferred during Walima day and that is the reason usually softer tones of pink and blue shades are preferred. However, these days we can also see purple shade, used in walima dresses.
