Fried chops

A traditional dish, which is served all over the country.  It’s really delicious and quick to make. People make it with different methods, here we are having a standard method of making these chops.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 40 minutes

Serving: 4


  • Chops, 1 Kg
  • Salt, 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice, 2-3 tsp
  • Garlic paste, 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder, ½ tsp
  • Garam masala, 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste, 1 tsp
  • Egg, 1
  • Bread crumbs, ½ cup
  • Black Pepper powder, ¼ tsp
  • Oil, for frying


  1. Add ¾ tsp salt, lemon juice, garlic and ginger paste, chilli powder and garam masla to the chops.
  2. Half cook them on a slow fire in a pot. You  can add little water if necessary.
  3. When it is half cooked, remove from heat.
  4. Beat egg and add ¼ tsp salt and ½ tsp black pepper.
  5. Dip chops into egg, one by one and coat with bread crumbs.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil.
  7. Serve with naan and sauce.
