The color of the shoe should be the matching one with the bridal dress. In case if you do not prefer going for the matching shoes you can go for the ones that are complementing your bridal dress such as golden or silver.
The comfort level is again a most important factor to be considered when you are looking for your bridal shoes as you have to wear them for a long time.
Wearing shoes with high heels or flat ones depend upon your height and choice. If you are very tall you must go for comfortable flat shoes but if you have a medium height heel would look great.
